Victoria Pavilion Arts is a project delivered by Sussex Support Service CIC in Uckfield. We passionately believe that art has the ability to make people feel good, build confidence and connect with others. We develop participatory arts activities and experiences with people who are often excluded and, through our gallery and workshop spaces promote and provide opportunities for local artists, creative practitioners and emerging talent. Proceeds from all our events and activities go back into the project. We are based in a fantastic and easily accessible location at Victoria Pavilion in Victoria Pleasure Ground, Uckfield. OUR ANNUAL SPRING MARKET IS BACK !
Yes Spring is making a welcome appearance at Victoria Pavilion Arts with our next Artist & Makers Market taking place on Sunday 13th April. As with previous artists markets at the Victoria Pavilion, the event will showcase a superb selection of some of our most talented local creatives. Featuring unique and beautiful hand-crafted artworks, homewares, jewellery, textiles, and gifts the market will provide a wonderful spring-inspired shopping experience. The pop-up cafe will be serving seasonal treats and goodies and there will be a prize draw with a chance to win some fantastic prizes, including artworks and products made by our very own artists. Hopefully the event will be blessed with some spring sunshine, but whatever the weather you can be sure of very warm welcome! Don’t miss this opportunity to shop local and support our creative independent business community. The event is family and dog friendly, with ample free parking. Entry is FREE but donations are welcomed and help support our Arts for Wellbeing programme. ARTIST OPPORTUNITY - HIRE OUR GALLERY WALL SPACE
We are thrilled to offer local artists the opportunity to display their work (2D) at the Victoria Pavilion from Spring 2024. Artists will be able to hire the wall space, rather like exhibiting in a cafe, for a period of up to a month at a time. During that period the artist can opt to have a weekend when the centre is open exclusively for visitors to the exhibition. The centre is open for our many services and activities 5 days a week and is used regularly by hiring groups during the evenings. On weekends, activities like the Repair Cafe, Saturday Social, Creative Cafe and Arts workshops attract a wide range of people through the doors. We will be happy to help you promote your exhibition through our extensive community and business networks. There are 3 rooms with wall hanging space - all of which are in use throughout the week - and there is a picture hanging system throughout. If you are interested please contact Helen for more info about cost and available dates using the button below.
